Hello there!

I'm so grateful that our paths have crossed. My vision for Folk Essence was born out of the desire to introduce people, far and wide, to the timeless treasures made by local Hungarian craftspeople. (Stuff this good just has to be shared.) All of our unique products, both vintage and newly made, combine fine manual work with limited exclusivity.

I trust in the alchemy of tradition and modernity, which allows us to live in grounded harmony. As it was true for our ancestors, I believe that these traditional artworks have the purpose of elevating our daily lives. 

Today more and more often, we face the unfortunate fact that we never get to know the craftspeople, the sources, and stories behind our purchases. This knowledge is what holds the powerful meanings and truths, which in folk tradition was believed would bring otherwordly powers to its owners. Mending this broken thread is a commitment that Folk Essence makes to both our beloved craftspeople, and our customers, always.

Long story short, Folk Essence seeks to preserve the energy and authenticity of the Hungarian traditions, while supporting the local craftspeople who keep these artforms alive. Our wish is that Folk Essence products will extend beauty, grace and positive energy to the ones who cherish them.
